What is a toe plate and what is the purpose of a toebard? The toe board, or kickplates are designed as a solid lower safety barrier between de floor and the knee-rail. It is an upstanding collar on the edge of a working platform / landing. The Toe board is designed  to prevent falling tools and objects to a floor level below. Toe board safety barrier protection, also known as edge protection prevents accidents happen when persons kick against a tools or objects that slides off the edge to the work areas below.

A toe board plates and toe board kick plates are designed to be a low protective barrier for protects edge openings. The advantage for using standard toe board and standard kick plate height of 10 cm is that it will prevent injuries and fatalities by reducing dropped objects. The standard kick plate height should be 10 cm minimum (or 3.5 inches).
